Sidewalk Toronto

Public Talk #1

What’s the future of complete streets?

Complete streets are streets that work for everyone—not just cars and drivers. They mean safer crosswalks for pedestrians, more bike lanes for cyclists, and better access to buses and streetcars for transit riders. But as demand for ride-hail services, delivery vehicles, and (eventually) self-driving shuttles grows, we must plan ahead—and ensure tomorrow’s streets put people, not vehicles, first.

In our first of four public talks, journalist Philip Preville moderated a conversation with three international experts challenging cities to think differently about how streets are designed and used.
